Meakin to make Porsche return in Sprint Challenge GB

British driver, Zac Meakin, will make his second appearance in a Porsche, this time in the British GT Championship with Team Parker Racing competing in the GT4 class. Racing alongside teammate Dan Vaughan, the young driver is hopeful for another positive performance behind the Porsche 718 GT4 Clubsport RS wheel, with the potential of becoming the youngest-ever race winner in British GT Championship history.

The move follows an impressive Porsche racing debut at the Sprint Challenge Southern Europe earlier this year. Zac secured four race victories across two race events, which saw the #18 driver finish second in the driver standings.

With the championship around the corner, Zac comments:

“It’ll be great to hit the track with Team Parker Racing after a strong result in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe. I learnt a lot competing in those two race events and will look to apply that to the upcoming GB series. There are obvious differences between European and British tracks, but I’m hopeful my previous experience racing in the Ginetta Junior Championship will fare me well.”

The British GT Championship kicks off at Oulton Park on the 8th – 10th April. Stay tuned for all the latest racing updates by following Zac on Instagram and Facebook.
