Motorsport UK – the governing body for four-wheel motorsport in the UK – has selected racing driver Josh Skelton to join its national squad of elite competitors. Josh, who is managed by Greenlight Sports Management, joins just seventeen others to become part of Team UK.
The 22-year-old from Maryport, Cumbria will receive tailored coaching to unlock his full potential.
On being selected for Team UK, Josh Skelton said:
“I’m counting down the days to attend the first Motorsport UK Academy training camp in March. I’m lucky to be selected as the support is second-to-none. It’s a game-changing opportunity. I won’t waste a second of it.”
Katie Baldwin, Competitors Pathway Manager at Motorsport UK, commented on the addition to Team UK:
“After showing great promise in series like the British F4 Championship and, most recently, the Michelin Le Mans Cup – where he stood on the podium three times – we invited Josh to join our elite team of young British racing drivers. The Motorsport UK Academy furthers racing careers and we’re eagerly awaiting to see what difference we can make to Josh.”

Over the course of his career, Josh has tested his abilities across various racing championships. From single-seater to recently climbing into the seat of an LMP3 car, for a second year, to race in the 2022 Michelin Le Mans Cup. Josh secured podium finishes at Spa-Francorchamps, Monza and the infamous Le Mans circuit.
