Ella Lloyd is set to make her debut in F1 ACADEMY over the weekend of September 20-22), on the the Marina Bay Street Circuit, alongside the Singapore Grand Prix.

The teenager, from Pontypridd in Wales, will shine a light on F1 ACADEMY Discover Your Drive, which is a global programme aimed at changing perceptions of motorsport and inspiring the next generation of female talent.

F1 ADACEMY is an ambitious project from Formula 1, which develops and prepares female drivers as they progress to higher levels of competition. The category is designed to give drivers access to more track time, racing and testing, as well as support with technical, physical, and mental preparations. It will provide young talent in junior categories with access to the fundamental level of experience needed to progress to Formula 3 and join the Road to F1.

Ella will tackle free practice and qualifying on Friday, September 20th, with race one the following day and race two taking place just a few hours before Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix.

“I am very excited and honoured to be given the opportunity to be the F1 ACADEMY Wild Card entry in Singapore. My hard work and dedication throughout my rookie season in single seaters have led me to this amazing moment in my career and I am looking forward to putting everything I have learned into practice and making the most of the weekend. I will show everyone what I can do behind the wheel while making the most of the experience and hopefully inspiring other young female drivers to push for their dreams.”
